Akkodis seeks an experienced Usability Engineer - Probes (Hardware Human Factors) to shape the future of medical technology used by healthcare professionals worldwide. Based in Oslo, Norway, you will drive hardware UX for handheld medical devices, ensuring safety, intuitiveness and effectiveness in real-world clinical settings.

You will lead usability activities, translate insights into design requirements, and collaborate with engineers, clinicians and designers to deliver exceptional hardware

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field and hands-on experience in hardware usability engineering.
• Experience with usability engineering in medical devices is preferred.
• Strong grasp of human-centered design methodologies and usability testing.
• Excellent communication skills and professional English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead usability activities for next-generation handheld medical devices.
• Drive ergonomic and human factors design for user-facing hardware.
• Plan and conduct formative and summative usability studies.
• Translate user insights into design requirements and risk mitigations.
• Collaborate with industrial designers, engineers, clinicians and product teams.
• Help create best-in-class user experiences across hardware and software.
