Job summary

L&T Technology Services Limited in Oslo is seeking an experienced Subsea / Underwater Cable Installation Technician to support underwater installation, cabling, testing, commissioning and maintenance across Norway. The role involves installing underwater camera systems connected to the main control centre via hard-wired marine cabling to provide reliable live video and data feeds.

An ideal candidate has hands-on subsea/offshore experience in oil & gas pipelines or marine engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in subsea, underwater, offshore or marine projects.
• Experience in underwater/subsea engineering and installation work.
• Experience with oil & gas pipeline or subsea pipeline projects is preferred.
• Hands-on underwater cable laying experience.
• Experience installing fiber optic cables and marine-grade Ethernet cabling.
• Experience with underwater cable trenching, burial and protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Support underwater installation, cabling, testing, commissioning and maintenance across Norway.
• Install underwater camera systems connected to the main control centre through marine cabling.
• Work with subsea/offshore engineering projects and ensure reliability of live feeds.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Subsea / Underwater Cable Installation Technician to support underwater installation, cabling, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for project sites across Norway.

The role involves the installation of underwater camera systems connected to the main control centre through hard-wired marine cabling to provide reliable live video and data feeds.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on subsea/offshore experience, preferably from Oil & Gas pipeline, subsea construction, offshore cable installation, or marine engineering projects.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on technician experience in subsea, underwater, offshore or marine projects.
• Proven experience in underwater/subsea engineering and installation work.
• Experience in Oil & Gas pipeline or subsea pipeline projects is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with underwater/subsea cable laying.
• Experience installing optical fibre/fiber optic cables.
• Experience with marine-grade Ethernet cable installation.
• Practical experience with underwater cable trenching and burial.
• Experience installing cable protection conduits and protective systems.
• Hands-on experience with junction box installation.
