Job summary

A global engineering company based in Stavanger is seeking a Subsea System Engineer Specialist for a contract role from 03.11.2025 to 03.11.2026. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and a minimum of 5 years' experience with subsea production systems. Responsibilities include providing operational support, preparing completion requirements for subsea facilities, and ensuring successful project and operational readiness with strong knowledge of NCS standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Subsea Production Systems, preferably in NCS.
  • Familiar with NCS standards (NORSOK, DNV, PSA requirements).
  • Strong understanding of subsea trees, manifolds, and umbilicals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onshore operational subsea competence for Operations Readiness.
  • Prepare completion requirements for subsea facilities.
  • Support engineering for subsea operations including IMR campaigns.

Job description

Subsea System Engineer Specialist
Contract period: 03.11.2025 - 03.11.2026
Location: Stavanger

Main tasks:

  • Provide onshore operational subsea competence in connection with the Operations Readiness activities (OR) for client
  • Interfacing with Project and OR delivery areas, ownership of the subsea O&M Philosophy
  • SPA for transition planning and startup by interfacing with Client Operator
  • Prepare completion requirements, for subsea facilities, wells, and topside installed subsea equipment
  • Prepare a strategy for commissioning of all clients related subsea and topside equipment, ensuring subsea topsides systems integration
  • Vendor & contractor follow-up (equipment readiness, documentation, FAT/SIT/SAT interface)
  • Prepare operating procedures and bridging documentation
  • Support activities for developing maintenance and integrity, condition monitoring programs
  • Engineering support for subsea operations (IMR campaigns, interventions, integrity follow-up)
  • Support ProCoSys / MIPS system updates, punch list clearance, and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (mechanical/marine/ocean/subsea) or equivalent subsea background
  • Min. 5 years’ experience with Subsea Production Systems (NCS preferred) Project and operating experience
  • Knowledge of subsea trees, manifolds, controls, umbilicals, work-oversystems
  • Familiar with NCS standards (NORSOK, DNV, PSA requirements)
  • Proficiency in ProCoSys (or equivalent) and vendor document review systems
  • Strong team-player
