Skuld Finance is seeking a skilled and driven professional to strengthen our Risk Analytics team. This role plays a vital part in reinforcing Skuld’s position as a global leader in marine insurance through forward-thinking data analysis and data-driven decision-making. This position is within Skuld's reserving function, which is responsible for assessing claims reserves and providing insights within the claims domain. The department also handles relevant reporting for both internal and external stakeholders and collaborates closely with all our international branches.

In this role, your expertise will contribute directly to these efforts as you develop and enhance our models and reports, while also taking ownership of a broad range of the department's responsibilities. We are at the same time looking for someone eager to contribute to our data analytics community, and our continuously effort to improve on our ways of working.

As an Analyst - Risk & Claims in the Risk Analytics team, you will be part of a world leading marine insurance provider where service and competence is key. Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Contribute to the departments inhouse and regulatory reporting
  • Take ownership of running several financial models (e.g., IBNR, Technical Provisions)
  • Develop and enhance data products related to claims and risk
  • Provide decision-making support to stakeholders within the claims and risk domain
  • Identify untapped potential in data by uncovering claims drivers and assessing new risks
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards (for operational and strategic use)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in economics, finance, data science, statistics, or similar
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Proficiency in English; Scandinavian language skills are a plus
  • Experience with programming languages (SQL, Python)
  • Familiarity with Skuld's tech stack (Databricks, dbt, GitHub, Power BI) is beneficial
  • Experience from the insurance industry is advantageous
