Job summary

NOV Completion Tools in Stavanger region seeks a hands-on Technician to assemble, test and prepare downhole completion and intervention tools. You will work with a team of Technicians and Service Engineers across multiple projects, reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.

You will coordinate with sales, engineering and supply chain, ensuring strict adherence to QHSE standards and delivering high-quality equipment ready for use. Proactive, organized, and capable of independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technician with multistage frac operations or equipment experience.
• Strong mechanical skills in completion and intervention equipment.
• Trade certificate in a mechanical field; relevant experience may substitute.
• Knowledge of downhole completion/applications; familiarity with lower/upper completion is a plus.
• Good Norwegian and English communication; able to read technical documentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals in English.
• Forklift and overhead crane certificates are advantageous.
• Proactive, eager to learn, organized, team player, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company and customer QHSE and QCP standards at all times.
• Build, assemble and test downhole well completion and intervention equipment, including multistage frac tools and ReAct portfolio.
• Perform QA and TPI inspections with Customers and Account managers
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure readiness and proper performance.
• Prepare and complete required equipment and job documentation accurately.
• Perform general workshop tasks with care and attention to detail.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering and supply chain teams across multiple projects.

Do you have hands-on multistage frac experience and take pride in safe, high-quality workshop work? As a Technician at NOV Completion Tools, you will work with a team of Technicians and Service Engineers across multiple projects. You will assemble, test and prepare downhole completion and intervention tools, while cooperating with sales, engineering and supply chain. You will report to the Workshop Supervisor and work with a dedicated operations team.

• A trade certificate, preferably in a well-related or mechanical field. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
• Knowledge of downhole well completion and intervention applications; experience with lower or upper completion equipment is an advantage.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in Norwegian and English, including technical documentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals, primarily in English.
• Forklift and overhead crane certificates are an advantage.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to organize work, collaborate with a team and work independently when needed.
