Job summary

Job description

Technical leader for domain delivery teams, managing complex projects, planning, mentoring engineers, and supporting digital portfolio sales.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, instrumentation, automation, or equivalent experience
• Good domain knowledge of processes related to Offshore
• Knowledge of processes, digital solutions, and applications within the Digital Ocean portfolio
• Experience from maritime, shipping, and/or offshore oil & gas installations is an advantage
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian

Technical Lead

As our Technical Lead you will be the main technical responsible and technical leader in our domain delivery teams. You will be a key technical resource in complex delivery projects, project planning together with project managers portfolio and in solving complex technical support cases.

You should have a broad understanding of your domain in addition to the technical solution to assist both in supporting sales processes for our digital portfolio and be a stakeholder in further development of our digital solution.

You will also in cooperation with the Team Manager be responsible for securing the technical competence in the team by identifying critical competence and by training and guiding the other delivery engineers.

Key accountabilities

• Organize and provide advanced technical support to customers and KM employees in the global organization.
• Technical responsible for large scale complex digital delivery projects.
• Key technical resource in delivery project planning.
• Plan and provide training for new- and existing engineers to secure correct competence level in the different teams according to the competence plan for our digital portfolio.
• Mentor other delivery engineers in the team.
• Proactively work with improvement of our products and services.
• Collaborate closely with Product-, Technology- and Salen Enablement department within Digital Ocean and with other departments in KM to improve processes and quality
• Offer technical support to Aftermarket Sales in their offerings and attend discovery workshops as technical responsible to identify delivery scope.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant technical education & background, typically bachelors or masters degree in computer science, instrumentation, automation or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of education
• Good domain knowledge of processes related to Offshore
• Broad knowledge of relevant processes, and digital solutions and applications within the Digital Ocean portfolio.
• Experience from maritime, shipping and/or offshore oil & gas installations is an advantage, but not essential
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian
