Job summary

Metronor Industrial seeks a System Development Engineer to strengthen our Norwegian development team. You will help advance core technology, focusing on optical encoder innovations, while working on projects with global customers and partners.

Based in Norway, you will contribute to both theoretical and practical development and interface with integrators and pilot customers. The role emphasizes systems and software design, with involvement in optics, lasers, cameras, sensors, and thermal

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in information technology, mathematics, physics/optics, cybernetics or a related field.
• Software and method development using state-of-the-art development tools (including C++ within Microsoft Studio environment). MatLab familiarity is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Systems and software design, development, integration, validation and testing.
• Method development, optics, lasers, cameras, sensors and thermal control
• Project management and interface towards customers and partners
