Job summary

NODES is seeking a System Developer with cloud experience in Oslo. This hands‑on role spans software development, Azure infrastructure, and secure platform operations, with ownership and opportunities to influence architectural decisions.

You will collaborate with architecture and production teams to improve the platform, implement DevSecOps practices, and build scalable, observable systems that support energy‑market operations.

NODES is hiring a System Developer with Cloud Experience.
We are looking for a technically strong, hands‑on and collaborative engineer with solid experience in cloud infrastructure, software development and modern delivery practices.

We do not expect the candidate to tick every box. If you have strong experience with cloud platforms and software development, and you are motivated to learn the energy‑market domain, we would like to hear from you.

Where you will make an impact?

You will work across cloud infrastructure and application development, close to both architecture and production operations. Together with our System Architect Lead and the wider technology organisation, you will improve the platform we run today and help shape the technical foundation we build on next.

This is a hands‑on role with meaningful ownership. You will help shape how we build, secure, monitor and operate our systems, and you will contribute actively to architectural discussions, technical decisions and continuous improvement of our engineering practices.

What will you do in the role?

In this role, you will work across three connected areas: software development, Azure infrastructure, and secure, reliable platform operations. You will not be limited to implementation tasks. We expect you to contribute to technical direction, challenge existing solutions where needed, and help raise the quality of how we build and operate our platform.

• Design, implement and operate cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain high‑quality applications using .NET and C#.
• Use DevSecOps practices to improve automation, CI/CD pipelines and operational support.
• Strengthen cloud security, including identity management and network security.
• Improve monitoring, alerting and observability so teams can operate the platform with confidence.
• Help shape architecture, technical direction and engineering standards for a platform in active international use.

Core experience

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Bicep.
• Good knowledge of .NET and C# development.
• Experience with DevSecOps, automation and CI/CD.
• Understanding of security principles for cloud solutions
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability.
• Comfortable communicating in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with ADX/Kusto and KQL
• Experience with Git and Git
