Job summary

HMH is seeking an AI Development Software Engineer to transform how software is built using AI-assisted engineering practices. You will use AI coding assistants, automated testing support, and modern tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality across internal and customer-facing solutions.

You will collaborate with software engineers and product managers to design reusable workflows, automation, and development frameworks, while applying rapid, user-focused development.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering production-quality software.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar technologies.
• Experience with testing, version control, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Responsibilities

• Build internal tools and customer-facing solutions using AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Design and implement reusable workflows, templates, automation, and development frameworks that enable faster software delivery.

We are looking for an AI Development Software Engineer to strengthen our team within Digital Solutions.

What will you be doing in this role?

As an AI Development Software Engineer you will play a key role in transforming how software is developed across our organization using modern AI-assisted engineering practices.

You will use AI coding assistants, agents, automated testing support, documentation generation and modern development tools as a core part of your engineering workflow to significantly accelerate delivery, improve quality, and enable faster innovation.

This role is not an ML research or data scientist role primarily about building AI-based products. Instead, it is about using AI to step-change how software is engineered, enabling faster delivery of both internal tools and customer-facing solutions.

You will:

• Build internal tools and customer-facing solutions using AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Design and implement reusable workflows, templates, automation, and development frameworks that enable faster software delivery.
• Apply rapid, iterative, user-focused software development practices.

• Ability to demonstrate how AI-assisted development has improved software delivery, quality, productivity, or developer experience.
