Job summary

QuantumIT Solutions in Svalbard, Norway is seeking a Contract Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. You will manage schedules, budgets, safety, quality, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

You will also ensure that permits are obtained, maintain project records, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record of managing complex construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and quality standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication with stakeholders and ability to resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and schedules and monitor progress throughout the construction process.
• Manage project budgets and ensure that costs are kept within agreed-upon limits.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
• Resolve conflicts or disputes arising during construction.
• Ensure permits and licenses are obtained for each project.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions related to each project.
