Job summary

DNV is seeking a motivated summer student to support materials technology projects and energy transition initiatives. You will collaborate with leading industry customers and work with our laboratories in Bergen and Høvik, applying and developing skills you have gained as a student.

You will be mentored by DNV experts and participate in a range of materials technology tasks, gaining real-life project experience and exposure to a strong company culture and social activities.

Qualifications

• Graduates in materials technology or mechanical engineering with an interest in consulting.
• Strong communication skills in English; Norwegian preferred.
• Pro-active attitude and team collaboration are valued.
• Interest in laboratory work and testing; basic digital skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with qualifying new technologies for the energy transition.

About You

Who are we looking for?

• Highly motivated graduates primarily from materials technology or mechanical engineering studies with an ambition to work in a consulting role.
• A pro-active attitude to engage with other to find good solutions.
• Good communication skills in English. Knowledge of Norwegian is a preference.
• Technical interest within materials technology, corrosion or mechanical engineering.
• Interest in laboratory work and testing.
• Good digital skills (data processing, FEA, CAD, controller programming) is an advantage.
