Job summary

DNV is seeking students in their 3rd or 4th year to explore safety-critical and software-intensive systems. You will work on projects that connect engineering knowledge with data and simulation results to support informed decisions.

You will collaborate with a group of summer students and world-class experts, gaining real-life experience and networking opportunities while enjoying access to on-campus facilities at DNV's Høvik HQ.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of study in a relevant field.
• Interest in safety-critical and software-intensive systems.
• Willing to contribute in a Norwegian corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Explore how engineering knowledge, requirements, safety objectives, operational data and simulation results can be combined to support informed decisions.
• Collaborate with students focusing on simulation and risk analysis to investigate questions about design changes, maintenance actions and lifecycle traceability.
• Contribute to digital, data-driven approaches for future classification and certification processes.
