Job summary

Hydro in Oslo seeks a summer intern to contribute to projects at the intersection of communication, public affairs, data and AI. The scope will adapt to your background and priorities, including AI enablement, agent-based solutions, or research and insight tasks.

You will develop, test, and evaluate AI tools, conduct stakeholder and media analyses, translate findings into clear recommendations, and prepare concise content for communications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Norwegian is a plus.

Job description

The Communication & Public Affairs function helps strengthen Hydro's reputation, stakeholder engagement and strategic positioning. As digital technologies and artificial intelligence change how organizations work with information, communication and insight, we are developing new capabilities to make better use of data, improve workflows and support more informed decisions.

As a summer intern, you will contribute to projects at the intersection of communication, public affairs, data and AI. The exact scope will be adapted to your background, interests and the priorities of the team. You may work with information management and AI enablement, help develop and test new agents or other digital solutions, or support positioning, research or insight projects.

What will make you successful?

• You are currently pursuing a master’s degree in communication, public affairs, political science, media studies, marketing or another relevant field.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are curious about how data, digital tools and AI can improve communication and decision-making.
• You can work systematically with large amounts of information and communicate complex findings clearly and concisely.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is an advantage.
• You are collaborative, proactive and comfortable learning new topics and tools. Extracurricular activities and volunteer work will be considered advantageous.
