Job summary

Euronext is seeking a Strategy Business Analyst (VIE) to join the Power Derivatives team in Oslo, starting January 2027 for 12 months with possible extension. You will report to the Head of Power Derivatives and collaborate across Euronext Group to drive market analysis, business development and client onboarding.

The role requires a Master’s degree and experience in energy or strategy consulting, with strong data reporting skills. English fluency is essential; Nordic language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, economics, finance or engineering.
• At least one internship or work experience in energy, strategy consulting or a fast-growing business.
• Experience analysing data, creating reports and presentations with large data sets.
• Fluent in English; French or a Nordic language is a plus.
• Strong interest in energy economics, power markets and energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Support development and scaling of Power Derivatives through business development, market analysis and project coordination.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance and Legal to align on initiatives.
• Monitor competitive landscape, perform screening analyses and report on performance.
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs via desktop research and client meetings.
• Analyse business performance and propose actionable improvements.
• Support onboarding of new clients with NordPool sales and Euronext membership.
• Produce high-quality materials (spreadsheets, presentations) to communicate results.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives like market expansion or new product launches.

Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets? We are looking for a Strategy Business Analyst (VIE) to join the Power Derivatives team at Nord Pool, part of Euronext. The position will be based in Oslo and start in January 2027 for an initial period of 12 months (with the possibility of extension). You will report to the Head of Power Derivatives.

You will primarily be responsible for:

• Supporting the development and scaling of the Power Derivatives business line through business development, market analysis and project coordination
• Collaborating with departments across Euronext Group, including Sales, Product, Finance and Legal, to ensure alignment and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives
• Monitoring the competitive landscape, conducting screening analysis and reporting on business performance
• Undertaking market analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs, including desktop research, client meetings and conference attendance
• Analysing business performance, identifying improvements and proposing actionable solutions
• Supporting the onboarding process for new clients in collaboration with the NordPool sales team and Euronext membership department
• Producing high‑quality materials (spreadsheets, presentations) to communicate results and recommendations
• Contributing to strategic initiatives such as expansion into new markets or the launch of new products

Your profile:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in business, economics, finance or engineering
• At least one successful internship or work experience in the energy industry, strategy consulting or a fast‑growing business
• Experience analysing data, creating reports and presentations, and working with large data sets
• Fluent in English; French or a Nordic language is a plus
• Strong interest in energy economics, power markets and the energy sector
• Experience in project management
• Excellent planning, organisational, problem‑solving, time management and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; PowerBI is a plus
• Fast learner with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working autonomously
• Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities
