Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Risk Specialist in the Philippines to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate site risks in line with internal controls and policies. You will conduct First Line of Defense assessments, manage risk reviews, and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance across the business.

The role requires 3–5 years in financial risk, CIA is a plus, and the candidate will partner with Risk counterparts to sustain robust control programs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in managing risk and internal controls in financial services.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Line of Defense assessments and risk controls testing.
• Manage local site audit activities and remediation.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
• Record risk issues in the GRC system and track remediation.
• Collaborate with risk counterparts to implement policies and controls.
• Prepare materials for monthly Risk Committee meetings.
