Job summary

Feeld is hiring a Staff Reliability Engineer (Full Stack) to raise the reliability of production systems across backend and mobile integration. You will lead through technical decisions, incident leadership, and pragmatic improvements while partnering with the Platform team.

As a hands-on contributor, you will own reliability outcomes, improve monitoring, and guide teams toward safer deployment practices and robust runbooks. This role offers remote-first work with annual in-person meetups.

Qualifications

• Staff-level IC leadership demonstrated through reviews, direction, and cross-team alignment.
• Strong TypeScript/Node.js backend experience across services and APIs.
• Solid observability skills: logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable alerts.
• Proven incident response leadership: on-call, triage, RCA with follow-through.
• Experience building and operating production backend systems at scale.
• Experience collaborating with mobile teams on backend/mobile integration.

Responsibilities

• Reduce incident frequency and impact through concrete reliability improvements.
• Lead incident response, with clear ownership and faster MTTR.
• Improve backend/mobile integration to reduce breakages and risk.
• Establish and improve documentation and operational standards.
• Own reliability outcomes across critical backend services and React Native.
• Lead technical problem-solving during incidents and drive to resolution.
• Build and evolve monitoring/observability with dashboards, alerts, tracing.
• Drive blameless post-incident reviews and durable fixes.
• Enhance engineering safety and quality with guardrails and safe migrations.
• Work with product/design/QA early to align delivery with risk needs.
• Strengthen onboarding docs, runbooks, and ownership guides.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, incident shadowing, and coaching.
