Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Design Engineer and/or Project Manager to perform solid waste projects in our Houston, Texas office. You will prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports and permit applications, and serve as Engineer of Record on projects for public and private clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in solid waste, landfill design or permitting.
• EIT certification required; Texas P.E. registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports and permit applications.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on projects for public and private clients.
• Conduct QA observations to ensure compliance with design documents and field procedures.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and clients throughout projects.
• Perform field work in varied terrain and weather, including surveys and inspections.
• Support business development through proposals and client meetings.
