Job summary

Pexip is seeking talented students to join our Engineering team for a summer internship in 2027. Over eight weeks from June 14 to August 6, you will work on the Pexip product with the team, contributing to scalable cloud software and gaining real-world experience.

Applicants should show proficiency in C, C++, Python or Go and provide a GitHub sample. Expect competitive intern compensation and a collaborative, open team culture at Pexip in Oslo.

Job description

We’re looking for talented students who share our passion for software and video conferencing to join our Engineering team next summer (2027).

Over 8 weeks, from June 14h to August 6th, 2027, you’ll get to work closely on the actual Pexip product with the rest of the team and impact thousands of our users. If highly scalable distributed cloud systems are your idea of fun, we would love to hear about you!

Candidate Qualifications

• Proficiency in, at least, one programming language such as C, C#, C++, Python, or Go
• Github repo or something along those lines - we would love to see some of your existing code
• Graduating your master’s degree spring or fall 2028

Not required but definite bonuses

• Understanding of network programming and network-oriented design patterns
• Experience in profiling and optimising backend code
• Understanding of common performance patterns and anti-patterns in distributed systems
• Experience with microservice design concepts and container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and similar)
• Experience with infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, and similar) and leveraging configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, and similar)
