Job summary

NTNU in Ålesund seeks an Associate Professor in Shipping Management to lead teaching and supervision across bachelor, master and PhD levels. The role includes initiating research projects focused on innovative teaching methods and publishing results in maritime-related fields.

The successful candidate will build industry networks, disseminate knowledge, and perform administrative duties as part of an international academic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have teaching and supervision experience in higher education.
• English proficiency (oral and written) is required.
• Norwegian language skills at level B2 or higher.
• Experience in creating or evaluating innovative learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the teaching portfolio in Shipping Management.
• Supervise students at bachelor, master and PhD levels.
• Initiate and develop research projects for innovative teaching methods.
• Publish research in relevant fields.
• Build and maintain networks with the maritime industry.
• Disseminate research and knowledge.
• Perform relevant administrative tasks.
