Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting seeks a Senior Technical Safety Asset Discipline Engineer for a one-year consultancy on an offshore asset in Norway. You will own technical safety on the asset, maintain barriers, and ensure compliance with risk controls, supported by the Technical Safety & Barrier Management team.

You will interface with Portfolio Engineering and safety SMEs, participate in HAZID/HAZOP, and provide input to changes and work orders while traveling offshore as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical safety, with at least 5 years in offshore operations.
• Familiar with Norwegian regulations (Havtil) and standards (NORSOK S-001, ISO 13702, IEC 61508/61511).
• Proven barrier management experience and ownership of performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical safety support to the asset team and offshore organisation.
• Own and follow up technical safety equipment and performance standards (fire/gas, ESD, deluge, FPSO equipment).
• Monitor barrier status, address degraded barriers, and define compensating measures.
• Assess risk from deviations, dispensations, and changes using relevant tools (e.g. Synergi).
• Follow up test/maintenance results for safety-critical equipment and participate in tests.
• Contribute to management of change, MODs, and HAZID/HAZOP and design reviews.
• Contribute to updates of TRA/QRA and emergency preparedness analyses.
