Job summary

Engineering Consultants Norway AS in Stavanger seeks a Senior/Principal Engineer in Technical Safety to work on functional safety, area classification, fire and gas systems, and environmental assessments on offshore projects.

You will contribute to FEED and early studies, apply HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA/WHERA, and ensure compliance with NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA and API standards, with Norwegian and English communication.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant topics.
• Work experience within the Oil&Gas industry on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred).
• Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design.
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards: NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API etc.

Responsibilities

• Functional Safety Engineering (FSA).
• Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessment and area classification.
• Fire and Gas (F&G) / Emergency Shut Down (ESD).
• Evaluate escape routes and evacuation means.
• Assess passive and active fire protection.
• Assess working environment (WHERA, chemical risk analysis, human factors).
• Evaluate external environment (BAT, energy demand, air emissions, discharges).
