Jobzone Stavanger seeks a Senior Systems Engineer blending OT/IT integration, industrial networking and cybersecurity for offshore and oilfield projects in Stavanger. You will design secure, reliable architectures and coordinate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with OT, IT, networking and/or cybersecurity in industrial environments.
• Minimum 3 years of experience from the oilfield or energy sector.
• Experience with offshore Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrated OT/IT architectures for offshore and oilfield projects.
• Manage technical interfaces and ensure effective coordination between engineering disciplines.
• Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and support mitigation strategies for operational networks.
• Work closely with offshore I&C teams to ensure safe and reliable system designs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across networking, control systems, OT/IT and cybersecurity.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering deliverables throughout project execution.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams and configuration baselines.
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear actions for relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in change-control processes and ensure compliance with applicable industry requirements.
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to best practices.

For one of our clients in the energy sector, we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a highly technical and multidisciplinary environment in Stavanger.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of Operational Technology (OT), Information Technology (IT), networking, control systems and cybersecurity. You will contribute to the design and delivery of secure and reliable system architectures for complex offshore and oilfield-related projects.

Ideally, you have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with OT, IT, networking and/or cybersecurity in industrial environments
• Minimum 3 years of experience from the oilfield or energy sector
• Experience with industrial networking and cybersecurity in operational environments
• Knowledge of offshore Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems
• Strong understanding of system architecture, interface management and multidisciplinary troubleshooting
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education
• The ability to balance operational reliability with cybersecurity requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• The ability to communicate effectively across different technical disciplines and stakeholder groups
• The ability and willingness to be based in Stavanger
