Job summary

Sperton Global AS is seeking an experienced Senior SAS Engineer in Bergen for a long-term contractual assignment. You will be responsible for the quality, delivery and integration of Safety and Automation Systems, acting as a technical pillar within the project.

Responsibilities include SAS system design and integration, interface with process, electrical, and safety disciplines, and supporting installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of SAS/Control Systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor or higher education in SAS discipline.
• Experience interfacing with process, electrical and safety disciplines per NORSOK I-002 and IEC/PAS 63131.
• Ability to design, document and manage SAS system philosophies and alarm specs.

Responsibilities

• Design and integration of SAS systems for projects.
• System design of process, utility and electrical interfaces (FS, SCD, HMI inputs).
• Provide support during installation and commissioning of SAS equipment and modifications.
• Create and maintain engineering documents and data registers (F&G, C&E, SCDs, ESD/PSD).
• Coordinate with suppliers, interface with other disciplines and client.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced "Senior SAS Engineer"for one of our client's to join their team on long-term contractual basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, delivery, and integration of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS). You will act as a technical pillar within the project with an ability to provide necessary support during installation and MC of SAS related equipment and modifications.

What You'll Do?

• - Responsible for SAS system design and integration.

• - System design of process, utility and electrical systems (interface, FS, SCD and HMI input)

• - Provide support during installation and MC of SAS related equipment and modifications.

• - Designing solutions according to our client's requirements

• - Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress of the work is identified and communicated to the project interface to other disciplines, suppliers and client.

• - Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers

• - Preparation of engineering documents such as F&G, C&E, SCDs, ESD/PSD Block logic and work package

Who You're?

• Minimum 10 year experienced engineer

• Bachelor or higher education within the SAS discipline.

• Ability to provide necessary support during installation and MC of SAS related equipment and modifications.

• Ability to interact with and understand input documentation from source disciplines like process, electrical, safety, HVAC, etc. - NORSOK standards: I-002 and IEC/PAS 63131:2017

• Ability to develop new and maintain system design documentation like system philosophies and specifications including alarm specifications.

• Competence to translate process functionality to the system supplier. Follow up of supplier documentation and verification of resulting software and hardware deliverables.
