Job summary

Interwell is seeking a Mechanical Engineering leader to drive RockSolid™ R&D from concept to prototype in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team in Trondheim. The role emphasizes rigorous technical analysis, design governance, and collaboration with operations, suppliers, and sales to bring new decommissioning technology to market.

Qualifications

• MSc / MEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Excellent interdisciplinary technical knowledge.
• Adept at technical communication.
• Excellent written & spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute interdisciplinary R&D projects from idea to prototype.
• Create product requirement specifications for new products.
• Lead risk assessments, FMECAs, and design reviews.
• Translate product risks into test objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Transfer results from research to practical use.
• Support design and operations through prototype development, field trials, and commercialization.
• Perform technical calculations and assessments.
• Maintain and accelerate technology development through tests.
• Collaborate with suppliers, operations, and sales.
• Conduct technical investigations and reporting.
• Provide professional guidance and governance of design processes.
