Statkraft in Oslo is seeking an experienced Developer with Python and C++ to join the STM team. You will help build the software used to plan and optimize Nordic hydropower production, delivering both the operative planning application and the underlying libraries.

Work primarily in a Linux environment, with Fedora, RPM packaging, and Helm Flux deployments to Kubernetes clusters. English fluency required; Norwegian a plus.

Formación

• Strong Python programming, with C++ (CMake) and TypeScript a plus.
• Experience in library and API design with versioned interfaces and deprecation paths.
• Knowledge of Linux packaging (RPM/dnf), GitLab CI and containers.
• Ability to use AI coding agents for refactoring while ensuring quality and testability.

Responsabilidades

• Develop software and libraries in Python and C++ to plan and optimize Nordic hydropower production.
• Build Python and C++ libraries for watercourse modelling, optimization algorithms, and SHOP engine.
• Maintain clean APIs, semantic versioning, and release management.
• Collaborate across software engineering, platform engineering, and data services.
