Job summary

Statkraft is seeking a software engineer to join the STM team, building watercourse modelling libraries and optimization tools in Python and C++. The role emphasizes clean APIs, robust Linux packaging, and collaboration across software and operations to support Nordic hydropower planning.

You will work on 24/7 workflows in a Linux environment with Fedora, RPM packaging, and Helm/Kubernetes deployments, contributing to scalable digital platforms and energy-transition software.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming with solid C++ knowledge.
• Experience in API design and modular software architecture.
• Familiar with Linux packaging and CI pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized services.
• Fluent English; Norwegian language is preferred.
• Pro-active team player with drive for excellence.

Responsibilities
