Job summary

Six Robotics in Oslo is building a Production Suite to bring our autonomy platform onto new drone hardware. This role focuses on software that runs at production sites, not on the hardware itself, and aims to create a high-quality, repeatable workflow.

You will work across Linux, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and remote execution, ensuring that factory acceptance, deployment, and operator guidance are fast, reliable, and easy to use for production teams.

Qualifications

• Several years of software engineering experience, ideally with hardware products.
• Strong ability to operate across Linux, CI/CD, and edge deployment contexts.
• Clear written and spoken English communication, and teamwork in cross-functional groups.
• Proven track record delivering production tooling that is reliable and user-friendly.
• Comfort working in a pragmatic, fast-moving hardware/software environment.

Responsibilities

• Build the Production Suite to move drone hardware from factory to a running unit.
• Design tooling that flashes software, configures, tests, and reports results to Operations.
• Work across Linux, Python scripting, Docker/Kubernetes, SSH, and web APIs.
• Reuse parts of end-to-end test suites to align factory acceptance with engineering tests.
• Ensure the workflow is intuitive for production operators with minimal steps.
• Collaborate with Operations, Test Automation, Hardware Enablement, and autonomy stack teams.
