Job summary

IKM Consultants AS is seeking a Planning Engineer to oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control for the engineering scope on EPC projects. You will establish detailed Level 4/5 schedules and lead progress reviews to validate reported progress.

Candidates should have 3+ years in project planning, strong expertise in Primavera and Safran Project, and fluent English communication. Based in Norway (Oslo/Haugesund) with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial discipline.
• 3+ years of work experience in project planning from EPC projects, especially engineering planning.
• Proficiency in Safran Project; strong Primavera skills will be evaluated.
• Ability to perform critical path and schedule risk analyses.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee schedule planning, resource allocation, and cost control for the engineering scope.
• Establish and maintain detailed project schedules (Level 4/5).
• Lead project progress reviews, validating and challenging reported progress.
• Identify critical paths and schedule risks, proposing optimization and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure overall scheduling aligns with contract requirements, regulations, and work processes.
• Provide detailed scheduling analysis to support management decision-making.
• Communicate potential scheduling issues and performance improvements to leadership.
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance the project schedule.
