Job summary

GE HealthCare in Oslo is seeking a Senior OT Engineer to oversee and ensure the compliance and reliability of the site’s digital OT/IT infrastructure.

Reporting to the Head of IT/OT, Automation and Digitalization, the role focuses on managing mission-critical systems in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with global stakeholders to advance process optimization. The position is primarily site-based and requires extensive IT/OT experience in manufacturing, preferably pharmaceutical.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or a minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience).
• Proven IT/OT support experience in manufacturing, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Demonstrated IT project and lifecycle management experience.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of network technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco) and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of industrial communications (ProfiNET, ProfiBUS, Modbus, OPC).

Responsibilities

• Support Critical Systems & Infrastructure.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the OT/IT network and relevant applications to ensure operational availability.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, compliance, and obsolescence to deliver optimum performance and reliability.
• Administrative Tasks: manage users/groups, certificates, GPOs, DNS records.
• Join machines to the domain and install infrastructure software (e.g., Veeam, Symantec, CheckMK).
• Respond to monitoring alarms and take swift action on issues.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding of applications within security, risk, and compliance framework.
• Identify risks and implement upgrades and patches as necessary.
• Ensure compliance of site OT systems by collaborating with local and global functions.
• Coordinate with external vendors for project support.
• Generate and maintain OT/site documentation and trackers.
