Job summary

Vår Energi AS is seeking a Senior Operations Improvement Engineer to lead the improvement agenda across Production Optimisation and Future Maintenance, driving AI adoption, digitalisation and continuous improvement across assets.

You will collaborate with domain specialists, operations and Digital/IT to map workflows, develop business cases and prioritise opportunities based on value, risk and feasibility. The role emphasizes leadership, change management and sustained value delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline relevant for production optimisation, maintenance or asset operation.
• Typically five or more years of relevant experience
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including scope definition, stakeholder alignment, supplier engagement and implementation
• Applied experience delivering improvements using data, models, automation or AI
• Challenging tasks in a dynamic and a strong competent environment with the opportunity to grow, learn and be creative

Responsibilities

• Lead the improvement agenda within Production Optimisation or Future Maintenance, driving AI adoption, digitalisation and continuous improvement.
• Map workflows, define scope, develop business cases and recommend opportunities based on value, risk, feasibility and resource needs.
• Lead cross-functional delivery, challenge supplier proposals and drive decisions, ensuring technical validation and ownership transfer for operational use.
• After implementation, ensure value extraction and identify further improvements.

Future Maintenance

You will lead the improvement agenda within the area you are, from identifying and prioritising initiatives through implementation and adoption in Operations. The roles support the long-term development of Operations, beyond individual projects and programmes.

Working with domain specialists, operations and Digital/IT, you will map workflows, define scope, develop business cases and recommend opportunities based on value, risk, feasibility and resource needs.

You will lead cross-functional delivery, challenge supplier proposals and drive decisions. This includes managing dependencies, ensuring technical validation and establishing ownership, training and support for operational use. After implementation, you will ensure value extraction and identify further improvements.

Background and experience

Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline relevant for production optimalisation, maintenance or asset operation

Typically five or more years of relevant experience

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including scope definition, stakeholder alignment, supplier engagement and implementation

Applied experience delivering improvements using data, models, automation or AI, with an understanding of operational requirements and technical foundation
