Qualifications

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is part of the mechanical engineering team and will work closely with other discipline engineers and technical coordinators.

Duties and responsibilities

• 3D modelling in Autodesk suite of products (Inventor, Vault etc)
• Design and calculations for handling equipment such as cranes, gangways and winches according to specifications and budgets
• FEM analysis (ANSYS) and hand calculations, including documentation
• Assist the Concepts and Solutions department with technical expertise and contribute during sales and pre-engineering phases
• Produce production documentation (2D drawings)
• Documentation for class approvals
• Participate in production of technical documentation for installation parties and end-users
• Cooperation with procurement and outsourcing department and contact with suppliers for
• specification and selection of components and clarifications during production
• Perform model, drawing, and structural checks of designs made by your colleagues
• Participate in cross-discipline cooperation during project detailing phase

Qualifications

• University degree (3-5 years) in mechanical engineering or similar degree
• Good statics skills and strong in mechanical subjects and machine design
• General interest for mechanics and technology
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering or similar
