Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking an experienced actuarial senior manager to help grow its transformation capability within the actuarial practice, focusing on specialty pricing. You will work on multi-disciplinary engagements across pricing, underwriting, actuarial and exposure management within London Market, Lloyd’s, and commercial lines segments.

Qualifications

• Senior-level actuarial experience in insurance transformation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with specialty pricing and pricing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial and business aspects of specialty pricing and wider transformation projects
• Develop partnerships with technology, data, analytics and insurance platform vendors
• Liaise with technology teams, and other service areas, to help develop initiatives around the future of underwriting and pricing
• Expand footprint through go-to-market activities, leading and supporting sales of broader insurance transformation engagements
• Manage the expansion of their modelling, analytics, data and technical delivery capability across modern insurance platforms
• Have a strong academic record, including a degree
• Have experience in general insurance transformation, ideally with a strong grounding in specialty pricing and broader exposure to underwriting, actuarial or exposure management change, gained in a consultancy and/or insurer. London Market, Lloyd’s, commercial lines or specialty insurance experience is preferred
• Be a strong communicator and presenter
• Dynamic capability, working with a variety of stakeholders and viewpoints
