Job summary

Zühlke Engineering AG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate backend services using Kotlin/Java, and contribute to frontend using React and TypeScript. You will participate in AI-augmented engineering initiatives, collaborate with product, design and delivery teams, and help shape scalable, production-ready solutions.

You will design, implement and deploy APIs, drive automated testing, and improve build and deployment pipelines, while maintaining focus on reliability,

Qualifications

Proven experience with Kotlin or modern Java (Java 17+).
Backend development of APIs and services.
Experience with React/TypeScript frontend is a plus.
Strong focus on test automation and reliability.
Experience with relational databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD and production support.

Responsibilities

Build and operate JVM-based services using Kotlin or Java.
Design, build, and operate APIs and integrations.
Deliver end-to-end features across backend and frontend.
Develop automated tests and improve pipelines.
Collaborate in an agile, product-focused team.
Contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews.
