CEMIT is recruiting a passionate Software Engineer in Oslo with flexibility for remote or hybrid work. You will join a tight-knit dev team building AI-driven data intelligence for railway operations and contribute to both tech and product decisions.

The role emphasizes React/TypeScript for frontend, Python/FastAPI on the backend, and handling real-time data streams with cloud and database skills. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to ship impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a fullstack developer.
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Python and FastAPI (or similar Python frameworks).
• Relational databases, ideally TimescaleDB or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Solid understanding of API design (REST, WebSockets, GraphQL).
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker.
• Experience with real-time data processing, using Azure Event Hub, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Experience with AI and machine learning.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
