Job summary

EV HUB in Norway is seeking a Senior EV Diagnostic Specialist to lead fault finding from symptom to root cause across HV systems, charging, thermal management and BMS. You will diagnose on vehicles, warranty cases, and our R&D fleet, turning findings into practical procedures and tools for the team.

This senior, hands-on role offers autonomy, cross-brand scope, and significant engineering growth as we expand our diagnostics capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on fault finding on electric and hybrid vehicles as a master technician or diagnostics engineer.
• Expert use of OEM and aftermarket diagnostic tools, incl. coding and programming of control units across brands.
• Solid understanding of EV systems: HV battery, BMS, charging, thermal management, power electronics.
• Strong electrical measurement and testing on HV and 12 V systems.
• Structured testing approach: isolate cause and prove fix.
• Clear technical documentation to enable repetition by others.
• HV safety qualification or willingness to obtain it (training provided).
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Valid driving licence (class B).
• Eligible to work in Norway; work permit supported.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HV, charging, thermal, and BMS faults across brands on vehicles and returned parts.
• Read and interpret DTCs, live data, BMS data and electrical measurements.
• Run vehicle tests and validate repairs on the vehicle.
• Coding and programming control units across brands and validate on vehicle.
• Turn findings into diagnostic procedures, repair instructions and inputs for our diagnostic software.
• Collaborate with electronics, mechanical engineers in project squads.
