Vard Design & Engineering is part of VARD, leading in the development of advanced and specialized vessel designs. We are strengthening our Systems & Methods team and are seeking a senior engineer to join us.

Duties and responsibilities

The Systems & Methods department focuses on improving engineering methodologies, systems, standards, and material management processes. We support functional and detailed design, aiming to work more efficiently, expand our engineering capabilities, and explore digital offerings, aligning engineering outputs with the entire value chain for an efficient, digitalized end-to-end process.

• Develop and evaluate CAD/CAE tools and methodologies, implementing new and upgraded engineering systems.
• Coordinate competence development and quality assurance in the use of CAD/CAE tools across engineering entities.
• Collaborate with system suppliers and operational units to align development roadmaps with business needs.
• Manage and develop the systems catalog.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in marine engineering and operations is advantageous.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and other CAD/CAE systems.
• Knowledge of databases, IT infrastructure, and cloud environments is beneficial.
• Proficient in English, both oral and written.
