Job summary

Emerson Japan, Ltd. in Bergen is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer / Team Lead to guide embedded software for advanced measurement instruments used in oil & gas applications. You will blend hands-on coding in C++ with technical leadership across international teams.

You will own software design areas, drive code quality, and collaborate with software, electronics, physics, and other engineers to deliver robust solutions with strong testing and documentation practices.

Qualifications

Must have embedded software development experience in C++.
Experience with version control systems and documenting technical work.
Ability to lead and coordinate cross-disciplinary software teams.
Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Lead embedded software development for advanced measurement instruments.
Provide technical direction and collaboration within the team.
Design, implement, test, document, and maintain embedded software in C++.
Own designated areas of product design and software implementation.
Collaborate with software, electronics, physics and other engineering disciplines.
Contribute to software architecture, reviews, and development best practices.
Promote reliable, well-documented, and test-supported software across projects.
Support quality, security, and automated testing throughout the lifecycle.
