NOV is seeking a Principal Drill String Advisor based in Stavanger to support the global Wired Drill Pipe strategy. You will work with drilling operators and contractors to evaluate performance, investigate failures and provide objective technical recommendations that improve reliability and asset utilization.

The role involves travel, customer workshops, and collaboration with engineering and product teams to drive best practices and innovations.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience in drill pipe operations and drilling.
• Strong knowledge of drill string mechanics and failure modes.
• Excellent communication with customers and internal teams.

Aufgaben

• Serve as principal technical advisor for Wired Drill Pipe assets.
• Advise operators on pipe selection, configurations and deployment strategies.
• Lead investigations into failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess equipment performance and propose improvements to procedures.
• Support fleet management and long-term asset planning.
• Promote NOV asset management solutions for better visibility.
• Provide feedback to engineering on field performance and design ideas.
• Support workshops, technical reviews and business development activities.
• Act as a link between customers, operations, and product teams.
