Senior Cost Controller

Job summary

Thor is leading a major data centre project in Norway and seeks an experienced cost controller to drive budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting across multi-discipline scopes on site.

You will work closely with project leadership to quantify changes, support contract positions, and deliver clear client reports, leveraging strong Excel and cost control systems.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years' cost control experience on major projects.
• Background in oil and gas, offshore or onshore projects, or fast-track data centre or industrial construction.
• Project-based experience (on site or in the project team, not head office only).
• Understanding of contracts and Bills of Quantities.
• Experience with complex multi-discipline scopes (mechanical, electrical, piping).
• Strong Excel and cost control systems skills.
• Right to work in Norway, and fluent English.

Our client is an engineering and construction contractor delivering a multi-billion, large-scale data centre development in Norway. As the programme continues to grow, they are expanding the project team across several new contracts. You'll join at a key stage, work on a complex multi-discipline scope, help shape processes and ways of working, and work directly with senior project leadership.
