Avdelingen består av tverrfaglige team og tilbyr behandling for mood-disorders og samtalebehandling i samarbeid med andre helsetjenester. Ingen nattevakt eller helgeordninger inngår.

Qualifications

• Du må ha norsk autorisasjon som lege.
• Erfaring innen fagområdet forventes.
• Erfaring fra sykehus vektlegges.
• God norsk skriftlig og muntlig fremstilling.
• Førerkort klasse B er nødvendig.

Job description

The Family and Neuropsychological Unit now has an available permanent position as Senior Consultant in child and adolescent psychiatry.
The unit currently consists of three teams, the Neuro Team, the Family Team and the Infant and Toddler Team. There are senior consultants attached to all teams.
The position will be linked to the following team:
1 x 100 % permanent Senior Consultant position in the Family Team. Start date by agreement.

The Family Team holds professional responsibility for mood disorders 0-18 years, and externalizing difficulties 6-12 years. The Family Team is multidisciplinary, consisting of a senior consultant, specialist psychologists, a special education teacher and family therapists. The team has various treatment approaches, has its own EFST team, and professional responsibility for outdoor therapy. The unit is currently implementing DBT-C, which is an intensive treatment offering for children with behavioural/neurodevelopmental disorders. It is desirable that the senior consultant who is employed will become part of this team (approx. 20%). The DBT-C team will be a matrix team consisting of professionals from all teams.
The Neuro Team primarily works with assessment and follow-up of children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
The Infant and Toddler Team is responsible for children aged 0-5 years. They offer specialized assessment and treatment in close collaboration with the family and other support services.
The senior consultant will be attached to the Family Unit, but must also be able to assist other units in case of illness and absence if needed.
Kristiansand has a total of 10 positions for senior consultants distributed across four units, and 5 physicians in specialization. Two of these are attached to the Family Unit. The physician group meets regularly and there is a good and supportive group of medical colleagues across the units. All physicians in ABUP are part of a medical professional team where the medical tasks are solved through task-shifting between doctors, nurses and medical secretaries. The position involves no on-call duties, night or weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and families
• Multidisciplinary team work
• Psychoeducation for parents and collaborators
• Close collaboration and guidance with primary care services, schools/PPT, Child Welfare Service, BUFetat and other departments in specialist health services
• Participate in supervision of LiS 3
• Specialist tasks including decisions pursuant to the Mental Health Care Act
• Actively participate in the department's medical environment
• Work tasks in other units in the department may be added by agreement

Qualifications

• You must have Norwegian authorization as a physician
• Experience within the subject area
• Experience from hospitals is emphasised
• Approved specialization in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Physicians in specialization who are nearing specialist approval are encouraged to apply
• Good Norwegian written and oral proficiency, as well as skills in the use of IT tools are necessary
• class B driving licence is necessary
