Job summary

Axelera AI is seeking a Staff AI Application Engineer to develop our model enablement platform and optimize end-to-end performance across Metis and Europa AIPU pipelines. You will work on the frontend, graph compiler, runtime, and application pipeline, coordinating with a device-side team for back-end concerns.

You will leverage AI coding agents daily to build, test, and verify work while collaborating with engineers, tech leads and managers returning to hands-on development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience in systems, compilers, runtimes or performance.
• Hands-on experience with heterogeneous computing across CPU, GPU, DSP, NPU or FPGA.

Responsibilities

• Build the model enablement platform and agent harness for bring-up of models across devices and accelerators.
• Own how PyTorch/ONNX models are captured, analyzed and split across device and host units with placement tags.
• Extend split to large models and multi-model pipelines with caching and expert offloading.
• Work with pipeline builders and runtimes teams to optimize end-to-end performance.
