Oslo municipality seeks a skilled Exhibitions Project Leader to drive the department's exhibition projects in Oslo, with responsibility for budgeting, staffing, reporting and strategic development. The role emphasizes integrity, collaboration, and delivering high-quality exhibitions.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership, Norwegian and English communication skills, and a track record in art institutions and interdisciplinary work.
Anchored in the collections of Edvard Munch and Rolf Stenersen, and with the present as horizon, MUNCH moves people around the world. This is the starting point for the museum's programme declaration, and the basis for the museum's work on the development and implementation of artistic programmes, including the exhibition programme which comprises both collection presentations and temporary exhibitions each year.
The ambitions for the exhibition programme at MUNCH are that it should create engagement among our audience by being innovative, diverse and challenging. Our exhibitions should maintain a high level of artistic and curatorial quality, and make us prominent on the international art scene and MUNCH one of Northern Europe's most attractive art museums.
In the Exhibition department we are now seeking a skilled person who will lead our section for exhibition project management. Through professional integrity in project management, the ability to collaborate across disciplines and network building, as well as deep experience with exhibition production, you will help to develop how we create exhibitions at MUNCH.
