MapleGroves in Svalbard is seeking a Seasonal Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, staff scheduling, and guest service during peak seasons.

You will train and supervise the team, monitor food quality, handle customer issues, and collaborate with kitchen staff. Accommodation is provided, and visa assistance is available for non-residents. This is a hands-on role in a unique Arctic location requiring strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in restaurant management or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams successfully.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of the restaurant, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.
• Train and supervise staff members to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
• Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Create and implement promotional strategies to attract customers during peak seasons.
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of food orders.
• Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures to maximize profits.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of goods.
