Job summary

Helio Health’s Child & Adolescent Clinic is seeking a School-Based Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide counseling to students in the Fayetteville-Manlius district, serving Wellwood and Eagle Hill Middle Schools. The role is full-time during the 10-month school year (Sept–June) with optional per diem July–August.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, full-time clinicians are eligible for a sign-on incentive of $4,000–$8,000 depending on licensure.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid professional License (including LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT, etc.)
• Limited Permit (LP) Licenses are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload at assigned school-based satellite site(s) and provide evidence-based behavioral health assessment, counseling, and treatment services to children, adolescents, and their families.
• Complete all aspects of the clinical process, including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, care coordination, referrals, patient and family education, case management, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate effectively with school personnel, families, community providers, and Helio Health staff to support patient treatment goals while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Respond to behavioral health crises and coordinate interventions in accordance with program, school district, and agency protocols.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation and case records in accordance with agency policy, state and federal regulations, and payor requirements.
• Participate as an active member of the Child & Adolescent Services multidisciplinary treatment team, including attendance at staff meetings, supervision, and case consultations.
• Assist with the training of staff and student interns as assigned.
• Maintain productivity and service delivery expectations established by the program.
• Participate in outreach, engagement, and other program development activities that support access to behavioral health services within assigned school districts.
