Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior SAP S/4HANA architect to lead an end-to-end brownfield conversion in a crop nutrition / fertilizer / process manufacturing environment. You will drive fit‑to‑standard design, govern decisions, and manage data conversion, master data changes, and integration touchpoints while ensuring a controlled, low-risk transition into S/4HANA.

Job description

Lead end-to-end solution architecture for an ECC to S/4HANA brownfield conversion in a crop nutrition / fertilizer / process manufacturing enterprise.

Ensure integrated, fit‑to‑standard design while enabling a controlled, low-risk transition of core business processes and data into S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own overall solution architecture across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality with strong integration focus.
• Lead fit-to-standard workshops and govern design decisions, minimizing customizations and protecting template integrity.
• Assess and manage brownfield conversion impacts (simplification items, retained ECC processes, Business Partner adoption, master data changes).
• Orchestrate dependencies across data, integration, testing, and cutover, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Provide leadership through build, test, cutover, and hypercare, ensuring stable go-live and rapid issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong SAP S/4HANA experience across multiple functional domains with end-to-end integration capability.
• Proven experience in ECC to S/4HANA brownfield/system conversion programs.
• Deep understanding of S/4 simplification impacts, data conversion, and integration touchpoints.
• Strong design governance, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.

Industry Experience:

• Experience in Crop Nutrition / Fertilizer / Chemicals / Process Manufacturing environments
• Understanding of:
• Batch / lot-based production
• Complex plant operations and supply chains
• Integrated planning, production, inventory, and distribution processes

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-country deployments / global template governance
• Familiarity with SAP Activate and conversion toolchain (Readiness, Simplification analysis, etc.)
• SAP certifications
