Job summary

Henry Community Health is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to assess patients, administer treatments, and monitor progress on-site. The role includes cross-training in Ambulatory Care, OR, or PACU and participation in call rotations.

The ideal candidate holds RN licensure from an accredited program and has a solid nursing background with clinical experience, including surgical nursing preferred. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the status of all patients and implements appropriate nursing care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing procedures.
• Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies supervisor, anesthesiology, or physician of significant incidents.
• Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine patient progress.
• Cross-trained to assist in Ambulatory Care, OR, or PACU whenever necessary.
• Participates in call rotation.

Qualifications

• Work requires a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure required.
• Work requires a working knowledge of nursing techniques and intervention skills which are normally acquired after six months of clinical experience.
• Previous surgery nursing experience is preferred.
