NOBA Bank Group is seeking a Risk Manager for our Danish portfolio to join the Credit Underwriting & Decision Analytics team in the Nordics. You will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues, apply credit risk expertise to business decisions, and help optimize our data-driven monitoring and risk management.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in credit risk, Danish or Norwegian language fluency, experience with R, Python, SAS or SQL, and a quantitative degree.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in credit risk within Denmark.
  • Knowledge of credit bureau data, regulatory requirements and Danish market risk factors.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and present findings clearly.
  • Fluency in Danish and/or Norwegian; excellent communication skills.

  • Collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to infuse credit risk insights into decisions.
  • Develop and maintain data-driven monitoring and reporting for proactive risk management.

About The Role

As our unsecured portfolios across the Nordics grow in both size and complexity, we’re now looking for a Risk Manager for our Danish portfolio, to join us on this exciting journey and help influence our future solutions. Credit underwriting is within the absolute core for a bank operating within unsecured credits. Working and coordinating with stakeholders from multiple departments is essential, and internally we simply refer to this role as having the day-to-day responsibility for “running the bank”.

Main Tasks
  • Collaborate with business, product, and cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives, providing credit risk expertise into business decisions.
  • Work with data and data structures to ensure we have the right foundation for monitoring initiatives and processes, and to connect these insights directly to business and credit risk outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of credit risk strategies, tools, process improvements and efficiency within credit risk operations.
  • Develop and enhance data-driven monitoring and reporting to support proactive risk management.
  • Understand how data flows through our systems and processes, and leverage this knowledge to identify business opportunities, improve decision-making, and optimize operations.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate on various tasks within Credit Underwriting & Decision Analytics to support our continuous improvement journey.
We Are Looking For You Who
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within credit risk and credit environment in Denmark
  • Knowledge of credit bureau data, regulatory requirements and market-specific credit risk factors for the Danish Market
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly
  • Fluency in Danish and/or Norwegian
  • Strong communication skills – ability to explain complex findings in an understandable way
  • Working experience from using analytical tools such R, Python, SAS or SQL/Databricks
  • A degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science or similar)
Nice To Have
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
