Job summary

Nordic Semiconductor is seeking two Application Engineers in Trondheim to support customers in optimizing wireless hardware designs and achieving optimal RF performance. You will review designs, measure and tune RF prototypes, and help ensure regulatory certification readiness.

Ideal candidates have degrees in electronics or related fields, hands-on lab experience, and strong communication skills in English. The role offers collaboration with R&D teams and a practical, customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Good understanding of electronic circuits and hardware design.
• Knowledge of RF engineering, radio communication, or antenna theory is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with electronics development, testing, or lab work.
• Experience in RF hardware design and PCB layout, antenna design, measurements, and tuning.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for wireless products (RED/CE, FCC, etc.).
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers developing wireless products based on Nordic Semiconductor technology.
• Review customer schematics, PCB layouts, and antenna designs to identify opportunities for improved performance.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, RF measurements, and antenna tuning on customer prototypes.
• Help customers optimize RF performance, power consumption, and overall hardware design.
• Guide customers on regulatory requirements and help prepare designs for certification.
• Take ownership of customer challenges and work proactively to find practical solutions.
• Collaborate with Nordic's R&D and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
