We are seeking a candidate for a one-year temporary position as research coordinator at NORA.ai. The temporary position carries the position code “senior advisor”. NORA is a national network hosted at the University of Oslo (UiO). The appointed person will be employed by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and report to the NORA CEO.
The main responsibility involves overseeing NORA's Nordic initiatives and collaborations, including managing NORDIC AIR – a partnership between leading academic AI centers and networks across the Nordic region (CADIA, FCAI, NORA.ai, the Pioneer Centre, and WASP). Coordination efforts are primarily through two platforms: Nordic AI Meet, a conference for early-career AI researchers, and Nordic Machine Intelligence, a peer-reviewed, diamond open-access journal.
Additional responsibilities beyond Nordic collaborations may be assigned.
NORA – the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium – is a collaboration among 8 universities, 5 university colleges, and 4 research institutes in AI, machine learning, and robotics. The NORA Secretariat includes seven staff members with diverse backgrounds, hosted by the University of Oslo’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and dScience. We are located at Blindern, sharing offices with dScience.
