Job summary

Aker Solutions is seeking an AI Platform & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Oslo or Stavanger. You will design, deploy and operate secure cloud infrastructure to enable enterprise AI solutions, balancing performance, security and cost.

Collaborate with AI experts, developers and IT teams to implement repeatable platform components and best practices for AI workloads across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing cloud platforms, with strong Microsoft Azure expertise.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep or similar.
• Experience supporting AI workloads, including platform engineering, deployment and optimization.
• Knowledge of cloud/hybrid architectures, GPUs, security and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities for enterprise AI solutions.
• Deploy, operate and optimize AI workloads across cloud, hybrid and on-prem environments; balance performance and cost.
• Own and evolve AI platform services and deployment frameworks with IaC practices.
• Evaluate new AI platform technologies and translate into practical solutions.
• Collaborate with AI Centre of Excellence, developers, data scientists and IT teams to establish best practices.
• Support lifecycle of AI solutions from environment setup to monitoring and readiness.
